Coaching
Feeling stuck or desiring growth and wondering why you are having trouble reaching your goals? Whether your goal areas are professional, personal or a little of both, professional life coaching can help you work through and overcome the obstacles that stand in the way. Albert Einstein offers “in the middle of difficulty lies opportunity” and often that simple change in perspective can bring the mindset to persevere through challenges to find personal growth on the other side.
What is a life coach?
A life coach works with you to identify your goal areas and to consider the external and internal factors that serve as obstacles to goals. These could be past hurts that impact you in ways you are not even aware of or old ways of coping that no longer fit your goals. Often patterns of thinking and behaving can be what is holding you back or maybe it’s how you perceive and respond to the circumstances, situations, and people you encounter. The role of the coach is to listen and facilitate conversation, therefore creating a safe space and pathway for the client’s discovery. Through discovery, the client will gain insight and understanding, identify goals and actionable steps to reach those goals.
Coaching may allow you to grow in ways you never imagined as you realize how much power and influence you have over aspects of your life. Embrace growth with hope and a sense of adventure for as Fred Rogers once said, “often when you think you're at the end of something you’re at the beginning of something else.”
